Couscous is perfect for taking on camping trips because it’s lightweight, cooks easily and quickly and only takes a couple of handfuls to make a meal for a few people.
Start a pot of boiling water (about 1/2 cup)
Throw in a few handfuls of couscous along with some dehydrated mushrooms, peppers and onions. Add in one chicken bouillon cube for flavour.
All you have to do is get it to a boil and let it sit for a few minutes. The couscous will only takes a few seconds to cook and the whole thing will only take a couple of minutes to swell up and be ready to eat.
Next, prepare to add the sauce. You can use dehydrated curry sauce, but for an even easier meal pick up a package of sauce in a foil packet. Boil the packet for the recommended number of minutes (usually 3-4) and add to the already prepared couscous. Voila!
